Introduction to flame retardants:

Flame retardant, a functional additive that imparts flame retardancy to flammable polymers, is mainly designed for the flame retardancy of polymer materials; There are various types of flame retardants, which can be divided into additive flame retardants and reactive flame retardants according to their usage methods.


Additive flame retardants are added to polymers through mechanical mixing to enhance their flame retardancy. Currently, additive flame retardants mainly include organic and inorganic flame retardants, halogenated flame retardants (organic chlorides and organic bromides), and non halogenated flame retardants. Organic flame retardants are represented by bromine, phosphorus nitrogen, nitrogen, and red phosphorus compounds, while inorganic flame retardants mainly include antimony trioxide, magnesium hydroxide, aluminum hydroxide, silicon based flame retardant systems.   


Reactive flame retardants, on the other hand, participate in polymerization reactions as monomers, thus containing flame retardant components in the polymer itself. Their advantage is that they have little impact on the performance of polymer materials and have long-lasting flame retardancy.  


The main configuration of the flame retardant granulator is:
1. Quantitative feeder: Ensure the material level inside the forced feeder.
2. Forced feeder: Pre compress and degass the powder.
3. Roll rolling machine: Force the powder to be compressed and formed.
4. Unit platform: easy to operate and maintain.
5. Crushing and granulation unit: Process the formed flakes into a powder particle mixture with uniform particle size.
6. Grading screen: Separate the powder mixture.
7. Bucket elevator: conveying raw materials and sieved powder (optional according to user needs).
8. Hydraulic system: controls the strength of particle products
9. Control system: centralized control, simple and convenient operation.
